S. Korea: LKP Accused of Checking Improvement of North-South Relations
The South Side Committee for Implementing June 15 Joint Declaration reportedly held a news conference outside the building of the "Liberty Korea Party" on Oct. 25 to criticize the LKP for trying to break peace of the Korean peninsula and check the improvement of the north-south relations.
The LKP is opposing the ratification of the Pyongyang Joint Declaration and the military agreement at the "National Assembly", not content with groundlessly rejecting the NA ratification of the Panmunjom declaration, the organization charged in its press release.
Noting that all Koreans and the international community are hailing the inter-Korean summit meetings and talks and negotiated development of the south-north relations in various fields, it pointed out that LKP does not want peace of the Korean peninsula and development of the south-north relations.
LKP should stop its act of making the inter-Korean cooperation a topic of political strife, it held.
