Rural Construction in DPRK Enters Age of Historical Turn​

 

March 5 is a historic day of weighty significance in solving the rural question in the DPRK.

On March 5, Juche 35 (1946), President Kim Il Sung promulgated the "Law on Agrarian Reform in North Korea".

As a result, the Korean peasants could achieve their centuries-old desire to farm their own land.

The cause of socialist rural construction could dynamically advance along the road of its development thanks to the devoted efforts of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il who devoted themselves to the solution of the rural question.

The rural construction in the country has greeted the era of historic turn under the wise guidance of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un who is carrying forward the noble intention of the great leaders.

In conformity with the changing times and the requirements of the revolution, the respected General Secretary set forth the programme for the rural revolution to usher in a great new era of making a leap forward in the socialist rural areas at the December Plenary Meeting of Juche 110 (2021).

Last year, the first year of the new development of the socialist countryside, the revolutionary enthusiasm and patriotic enthusiasm of the agricultural workers were remarkably raised with the new era of the rural development, the material and technical foundations of rural economy were further consolidated and a large number of modern rural dwelling houses were built across the country at state expense.

At the Seventh Enlarged Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the WPK, Kim Jong Un raised again the revolutionary change of the rural communities at the present stage of struggle as an important revolutionary task for achieving the prosperity and development of the state and the promotion of the people's well-being, and put forward the principled matters to be maintained in carrying out the programme for the socialist rural revolution in a perfect way.

The agricultural workers are now expressing their deep thanks to Kim Jong Un who is ushering in a new era of rural development, a comprehensive development of socialist construction, with his energetic revolutionary leadership, and are fully determined to repay him with increased grain production by fulfilling their duty as the master responsible for the granary of the country.
